Perseverence does not mean one won’t fall!

Perserverence does not mean one won't fall; it simply means that you will pick yourself up and try again!   Perseverance doesn’t mean we don’t fall down, make mistakes or have missteps. On the contrary, perseverance means that no matter what, we keep going. I have bad days, get moody, and feel down. But the important thing is to know that it doesn’t last. But even more disappointing than a short amount of time where you’re “off your game” is a significant setback, derailment or … [Read more...]

WOMEN in RECOVERY – After the Spiritual Ecstacy, then what?

After the Spiritual Ecstacy, than what?       During the years 1991 to 2000, I went through a radical spiritual transformation that really was a profound, peak experience for me. It all began when I read Seth Speaks, after which I went through more than 400 similar books, non-stop. I never thought the passionate feelings of spirituality would mellow and lose their intensity. ADELE BUTLER – Women of Spirit: Know Your Rights!

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS !   Years ago I was asked by Equality Now to write a letter to His Excellency Yoweri Museveni, the President of Uganda regarding the Land Act. It seems that even though a woman’s right to property is protected under the Ugandan law, in rural areas this is abused , ignored or overlooked. ADELE BUTLER – Women of Spirit: Keep Hope Alive!

Yes, we shall overcome—someday.     I am thankful that I wasn’t living in the US while segregation and blatant racism were the norm. I cannot imagine not being able to sit wherever I wanted to on the bus or drink from any water fountain or have to go to areas that said, “For Coloreds Only”. I don’t know how I would have fared during those times. Would I have turned the other cheek or would I have stood up for my rights? I would like to think that I would have done the latter. When Jesus … [Read more...]
