HHS.gov – Medicare Finalizes New Rules to Require Equal Visitation Rights for all Hospital Patients
By Miguel Gomez, AIDS.gov Director Earlier this week, the U.S. Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) finalized a new rule which requires hospitals to let patients decide who can visit them. This new rule will “empower patients to designate their own visitors, including a same-sex domestic partner”. This is an important change for the HIV community.
