Write! ~ “Right!”, Larry James

Write! ~ “Right!” Have you ever written in a journal? It's a great way to put your private and personal feelings on paper. It is important to get your thoughts "out of your head" and make them tangible by putting them in writing. Often the thoughts you have about your relationship are disconnected from the real issue. Your mind skips from one thought to the next so rapidly you have no time to focus on thinking about what really matters. Journaling is for women AND men. Men … [Read more...]

Anger Issues?

Only one thing activates, then converts the negative energy of anger into positive energy... intention. The intention must be to do something different; something that works. When you discover that what you have been doing isn't working, the only logical thing to do is to do something different. We are talking about change. Yes, it is uncomfortable to change. You must decide which is the most uncomfortable. The same energy you expend on anger, when re-directed, can help free you of the … [Read more...]

The History of the Engagement Ring @ Uma Campbell

The History of the Engagement Ring Today’s media circus of seven-figure celebrity and royal weddings would have us believe that current generations have all but invented the pomp of the marriage ceremony, but in many ways we’re simply seeing a very glitzy reinvention of a very old wheel.  Regarding the tradition of engagement rings, the use of circular bands as a symbol of commitment is almost as old as the institution of marriage itself.  While there have been detours and variations - … [Read more...]

Got Problems? Good!

Life works. It works in direct proportion to the way you work it. It is working just the way you have planned it. If you are saying to yourself, "This is simply not true!" you most likely do not have a written plan. No plan is a plan to have things happen the way they happen. Consider the fact that your life is the way it is because of the choices you have made up to this point. Got problems? Good! Why do I say good? Because problems call attention to that which is in need of a … [Read more...]

Relationships Only Thrive in a Safe Space, Chris Prentiss

"We find rest in those we love, and we provide a resting place in ourselves for those who love us." ~ Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153) Your relationship thrives, withers, lives, or dies in an environment. If the environment in which your relationship lives is harsh and unforgiving, a place where sarcasm, degradation, and anger is present and where forgiveness, thoughtfulness, and love are in short supply, your relationship will wither and die... painfully. It will die just as a garden dies … [Read more...]

The Millennial Male Is Not Who You Think He Is, Lorre White

But talk to guys in this highly desirable demo yourself and you might discover a disenfranchised group with little disposable income, a love of niche culture and an upbeat outlook that belies the economic hand they’ve been dealt (two-seven offsuit). They’re not opposed … [Read more...]
