50 Things you would never know if it weren't for TV! Tee! Hee! Hee! 1. If staying in a haunted house, women should investigate any strange noises wearing their most revealing underwear, preferably carrying candles which will be blown out by the slightest draft. 2. If being chased through town, you can usually take cover in a passing St Patrick's Day parade - at any time of the year. 3. All beds have special L-shaped top sheets that reach up to armpit level on a woman but only waist … [Read more...]
How Much Room Can One Small Dog Take?
How Much Room Can One Small Dog Take? I wasn't really looking to adopt a new dog. But the search to adopt the perfect cat for my 18-year-old daughter had weakened my resistance and before I knew it I was reading the rescue boards again, this time looking for a dog. Perhaps it was the loss of our 16-year-old Silky Terrier or perhaps it was the fact that my last and youngest child was moving out to her first apartment. Perhaps it was a middle age crisis or the realization that the title Senior … [Read more...]

Star Wars Day – May 4 Tee! Hee! Hee!
May 4 May 4 is called Star Wars Day because of a pun on the similarity between "May the 4th be with you" and "May the Force be with you ", a phrase often spoken in the Star Wars movies. Despite efforts to start a Jedi Church with 4 May as its Star Wars Day, as of 4 May 2009 there is no religion-supporting organization that promotes 4 May as Star Wars Day. The joke is recorded in the UK parliament's Hansard. In 2005 German news TV channel N24 interviewed George Lucas and asked him … [Read more...]
The King's Daughter – Tee! Hee! Hee!
The King's Daughter Once upon a time there lived a king. The King had a beautiful daughter. But there was a problem. Everything the princess touched would melt. No matter what; metal, wood, plastic -- anything she touched would melt. Because of this, men were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her. The King despaired "What could he do to help his daughter?" He consulted his wizards and magicians. One wizard told the King, "If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in … [Read more...]

Tee! Hee! Hee! – UGH!
A funny little antic. This weekend we had a wedding to go to. It was very formal and I was looking at my jewelry to figure out what to wear. I usually wear this beautiful "rhr" that my "bf" gave me for my birthday two years ago, but the ring is blue and my dress is red so it didn't match. I have this beautiful diamond ring that was passed down to me by my paternal grandmother. I don't know the dimensions, but it looks like a daisy -- one bigger stone in the middle and smaller stones … [Read more...]
Extra Effort Award – Tee! Hee! Hee!
Extra Effort Award I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 a.m. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45 am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to spare. As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this … [Read more...]

Lighten Up…! Tee! Hee! Hee!
President Bush made his State of the Union address in January 2007, in which he declared the war in Iraq to be a 'minor incident which has been over-reported in the media'. He specifically asked Iraqis to 'lighten up' and said that they'd never had it so good. "Now Saddam has gone, there is nothing for Iraqis to fear. Even the 'constant fear of being killed' is significantly less than it was a few years ago." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "...is this a Message that Our World needs more … [Read more...]
International "No Housework" Day – APRIL 7
April 7th No Housework Day is your chance to do anything, except housework.... Better still, have someone else do the chores for a day! Housework is a daily, seemingly endless and repetitive groups of tasks. It often goes unrecognized and worst of all..... taken for granted. But, watch out! If the dishes aren't done, or there's no clean towels, somebody takes note. There's two ways to celebrate this day: If you normally do the housework around the house, cease and desist for this … [Read more...]
