Abbey Gardener, Dr. Paul Farmer, IWHC Board Chair Brian Brink, IWHC President Adrienne Germain “IWHC is creating a climate in which it is not tolerable to accept gender inequality as a matter of course. “That means that anybody who fights for gender equity—whether in the United States, Afghanistan, Haiti, you name it—IWHC makes our lives easier. You make our lives better. You make us more effective.”-Dr. Paul Farmer, co-founder, Partners in Health, and 2011 IWHC gala honoree.Last week, the International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC) held its annual gala at 583 Park Avenue in New York City.

More than 300 friends and supporters joined us in honoring Partners in Health co-founder Dr. Paul Farmer, who has provided quality health care to those most in need for more than 20 years.

We were also joined by IWHC partner Ishita Chaudhry. As founder of the YP Foundation, Ishita ensures young people in India have the skills and knowledge needed to become healthy, active citizens, and works to influence global policies and funding for youth.

Watch Ishita’s remarks on IWHC’s YouTube channel.

With our support, IWHC’s partner organizations, such as the YP Foundation, now provide over six million women and teens with information, skills, health services, and human rights protections.

Your donation improves the lives of women and young people in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. As Ishita said in her gala speech, “Until every woman and every young person in every part of the world can stand up for themselves and lead just and healthy lives, our work is not done.”

On behalf of IWHC and its partners worldwide, thank you for standing strong for women and girls.

Your Donation  Together, we can secure a just and healthy life for every woman and girl.
