Developing Inner Strength
Everybody has different views of what their strengths and weaknesses are. In my opinion, inner strength is an invisible force within each of us that helps to propel us further into life, regardless of circumstance. Everyone of us has an invisible inner strength that really enables us to function every day; especially when encountering obstacles in life. The common misperception that I hear great amount of is people focus on the achievements in life that they failed to reach, and focus not enough on all the wonderful gains they have made in only the last three days.
This will to live is a gift that needs to be nurtured, never taken for granted.
Life is not a bed of roses and nothing is ever perfect. In life, we face obstacles, trials and many other difficulties that slow down our pace to achieve our goals and dreams. We encountered many unexpected circumstances, and many times life is not the way we want it to be. In my opinion, keeping an open mind with acceptance of ‘what is’ and not focusing on ‘what should be’, can be a tool that motivates and encourages a person in life when facing one’s own negative perceptions. There is a motivational force within all of us that has a ‘silent message’ telling us ‘don’t give up, you are meant to be ….’ or ‘don’t give up, you have to…’; your natural silent motivational force within you, your Spark!
How to develop this invisible motivational force of inner strength?
It is through cultivation, determination and a desire of knowing oneself better that fuels the individual to Take Action. Just like running or jogging, a person who just started running may find that he/she tires easily and cannot run for long distances the first time. The next time, they run longer and stronger each time. The stamina for running will slowly increase. Soon the runner should be able to realize that they can achieve a longer distance with less strain as when they started running.
One must focus to develop commitment, determination and perseverence.
Only when we are faced with life’s problems, do we learn to appreciate things around us, and to learn to cope with life’s difficulties. Learning to hold onto the state of Gratitude is the key to inner peace and tranquility. Each and every step on the path of life is designed to make us stronger, as we walk more, we gain confidence leading to that elusive inner strength so many fear they lack. Fight the entropy of life, and don’t get buried into the mud, lazing through your years for fear of not making the distance.
How important is your inner strength to you?
However, the act of practicing and doing things blindly without knowing the knowledge of it, makes a person’s work harder. Just like running, if a person read a book on how to run faster, then he/she would be able to understand how the body works, how he can reduce resistance, etc. to run faster. Thus, we need to keep an open mind, be willing to learn, accept our shortcomings, open our hearts to others. Reading books can increase our wisdom and knowledge of others experiences. Books help to broaden our thinking and by looking at things at a different angles, we gain strengths just like that — knowing your options builds confidence and this naturally increases your inner strength!
How to improve Your life?
Inner strength is a silent and invisible motivational force in every individual, that spark of light that hides in some deeper than others. To develop inner strength, let go. Let your light shine, for every shade of a rainbow is beautiful and your light is a big a part of that spectrum as is anyone else’s.
