The Shoppers Drug Mart Weekend
to End Women’s Cancer….proceeds go to:
The Campbell Family Institute at
The Princess Margaret
This event is funding breakthrough research, services, and care in the battle to end both breast and gynecologic cancers.
Tiffany shares her Story:
“My Mom and I were both diagnosed with cancer within the same week in 2008. The chemotherapy and radiation treatment at PMH saved my life when I was battling stage 3 throat cancer.
At the same time I was having treatment I lost my greatest love, my best friend, my confidante, my Mom to breast cancer. The pain of losing her to this horrible disease was the greatest and deepest pain I have ever known. Last week I received the results of my genetic testing for Breast cancer.
I have the BRCA 1 gene for breast cancer which means I have 50-85% chance of getting breast cancer. As a result, I will be enduring a hysterectomy; as well as, a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery so I will not have to endure the hell my Mom experienced.
It is because of people like you that are able to make financial donations, that I am able to be pro-active with this diagnosis; instead of dealing with breast cancer, once I get it.
I am proud to be walking beside my one-in-a-million husband and my beautiful inspiring sister Cindy who completed this walk all by herself last year.
I do this walk in memory of my mom and my sister in law, Catherine.
I also walk for my sisters, sister in laws, and niece’.ll those
