Five factors stopping you from reaching your goals

In life, we all have goals or dreams that we aspire to. Women face more challenges than most. In fact, many women are guilty of putting their own aims to one side, while pursuing the needs of your family or spouse first. From childcare to elderly relatives and maintaining a work-life balance, it can take precedence over your own goals or ambitions. Yet, it doesn’t have to be too late for you to step out on your own. While it’s just not fair that there are a lot of extra challenges in your way, taking time to identify these will let you pursue the life and career goals that you hold most dear to you.

Less time You might be guilty of dedicating too much time to others, so now’s the time to change. Your life will change for the better when you start to put yourself first and get ready for a new set of challenges. Fortunately, you will witness a lot of positive shifts too. You will make new friends and make more money. Not to mention you will treasure the time spent with your kids and family even more. So hang up your apron and send the children off to daycare – make time for you.

Less confidence

It can be intimidating reaching your goals. From asking for a pay rise to getting a family friend to help out with the kids, if you lack confidence then even the smallest of challenges can be overwhelming. Don’t let it. Make sure that you prepare what you want to say in advance. Avoid confrontation and stand firm with your request. If you are confident, then people will sit up and notice. Not to mention, it will make you much closer to reaching your goals.

Money worries

From starting your own venture or small business, money worries can make reaching your goals even more difficult. A lack of money needn’t be an issue if you are looking to pursue your dreams. In fact, there are a range of options out there such as online crowdfunding portals or Unsecured Credit Cards for Bad Credit. Don’t let poor credit or low funds get in the way of your goals – if you are resourceful, there are other options out there.

Fear

It can be daunting going out and following your own dreams or leaving a company where you have worked for the past few years. Not to mention if you have recently started a family or have lost some of that previous confidence. Don’t let fear get the best of you. Make sure that you use

that nervous energy to help you write your business plan. Often the best decisions are made when running on a bit of an anxious high, so be sure to use your fears to your advantage.

Keeping Focused

It can be hard to keep focused if you have so many other commitments on your plate. However, if you want to reach your goals and make a change, it’s important to keep fully focused on the task in hand. You may consider writing a list of your key goals and keeping it on your refrigerator, or desk. Remember that it will be your own determination and drive that will help you to reach your goals. So what are you waiting for? Now’s the time to make some serious life changes; for good.
