Hello All!,
About a month ago I finished an excellent book, by author, Sallie Tisdale, a Zen Priest, somewhere in the U.S.A. This book was published in 2006. It is titled: “Women of the Way – Discovering 2,500 Years of Buddhist Wisdom”. This is the book I didn’t know I was waiting for! Valuable information for anyone who wishes to learn some of the significant and hidden historical contributions that women have made in culture, society, philosophy, etc., that continue to influence the world.
After consulting with Tisdale, online, about inter-gendered deities which are prominent in mythological stories presented in Asian countries, it was recommended to me that I read an earlier book which she wrote in 1994. It is titled: “Talk Dirty To Me”. Rich and insightful. Thank you, Sallie.
Both of these books were available to me through inter-library loan.
If anyone else has read either or both of these books, I would be very interested in your thoughts and comments.
In memory of beloved Eve . . .
