Resilience
Resilience is the ability to make lemonade when life hands you lemons, to get back up when you’ve been knocked down. A lack of resilience leaves you emotionally vulnerable, with a low sense of self-worth, accepting of mistreatment, and unable to see solutions to problems.

MEDIA: THE OTHER PARENT
Young people today are consuming so much media that it has been called “the other parent.”
The vast majority of this media has become so highly sexualized that the American Psychological Association says it is destroying girls’ self-esteem.
Media: The Other Parent
Media: The Other ParentIn this video, the Director of our Girls’ Fund, Beth Malcolm, explains why media literacy is so important for adolescent girls and shares her personal perspective as a parent.
Thanks to you, every year more than 10,000 girls across Canada have access to programs that improve their mental health, help them to recover from crisis more quickly, and lowers their risk of sexual exploitation.
You are making such a difference!
We wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday season.
Sincerely,
