Changing the Ending of the “Factual” Account

Friday evening we saw the video Mosquito Coast.

On the one hand we saw the defeat of the principal character.

We saw deficiencies in his ideals.

The issue is still with us:

Is humanity the means of completing or advancing the creation?

Is technology humanity’s effort to advance creation?

Should humanity have the powers s/he has presumed,

but only when s/he plans and designs with comprehensive elegance?

 

Of course, we have a special meaning for the word elegance:

maximum diversity from minimum inventory.

 

Analysis seeks and finds more and more elementary principles and patterns.

There are only charges and charge fractions.

These charges and charge fractions combine and move.

The charge is potential energy. The motion is kinetic energy.

They transform into one another.

A minimum inventory produces the maximum diversity of all physical reality!

 

There isn’t mind and idealism as the process of the mind:

the conceptual versus matter: the material, as two alternative realities.

Mind and matter are expressions of consciousness:

the knowing which is reflective, knowing itself.

 

When the Garland Sutra speaks of Totality, Emptiness and Mind Only,

the title might have been Totality, Emptiness and Consciousness Only.

The manifest is known and needs to be known because of the reflective,

the knowing of itself of consciousness.

Without consciousness there is no manifestation,

without manifestation there is no consciousness.

 

The internal dialogue is the mechanism of physical objective reality.

To know the self is to know the manifest physical reality.

To know the manifest physical reality is to know the self.

The mechanism of manifestation is the closure of reflexion or reflection.

 

Knowing subsumes the separateness of the knower from what is known.

Consciousness is con sciousness. Sciousness is science or knowing.

Con sciousness is with knowing.

With is the separateness of the knower from what is known.

Consciousness is the source of separateness and manifestation

is the separateness of objective reality.

 

The internal dialogue is the use of denomination: to divide and name.

Suchness and thusness is to abandon the objective, the dividing and naming.

The potential becomes kinetic. The charge in motion transforms into motion only.

We gain the unobstructed universe.

Bliss is detachment from the partial and connection to the all or the whole.

 

Consciousness has a power to be conscious and manifest,

to change what is manifest or to dim or diminish the manifest

and dissolve the obstructions of the lesser reality.

We can change the ending of the “factual” account, for consciousness

need not be bounded by time or space.

We can dream-create with the orthic principles of receptivity and conductivity,

the counterparts of time and space.

We can change the past or the future.

Our challenge and our opportunity is to use the manifest to see the patterns.

Then dream-change them.
