Path to Enlightenment, ‘The story of a blind girl’
There was a ‘blind girl’ who hated herself just because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend.
He was always there for her.
She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend.
Her boyfriend asked her:
- “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”
The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him.
Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:
- “Just take care of my eyes dear.”
AUTHOR – Gitte Falkenberg
” I have studied Personal Development and Buddhism for many years, as well as doing support in the field of life coaching.
Not too long ago, I found out, that one thing is to coach and teach about things your have studied, another thing is to experience it first hand and really get it under your skin.
We always here about self esteem and strength and how this is the answer. But after really tasting life, I have found out, that it is not about self esteem and strength. It’s about inner peace. Cause with inner peace, everything else fall into place.
You might be thinking, that inner peace is something Buddhist monks have, and that people in the west can’t have that. But I am here to tell you, that this is not true.
I found my peace by the help of a series of events. Some experiences that put everything into perspective and made me look in, instead of out.
Experience is not always the kindest of teachers, but it is surely the best, and my meeting with my teacher, really moved some mountains for me. It gave me insights I would not have had, was it not for these incidents, and for that I am very grateful.
Because of this, I have decided to write some articles on this blog, and share my thoughts and teachings on different subjects.
The emphasis will be on the spiritual way of being.
Finding the inner energy and courage to persue what we really want. Not letting doubts and expectations stand in our way of our dreams.
I hope you will find my articles interesting, and perhaps even get inspired to go for your dreams.”
