Krishna Stone, Reflections on Social Media: You Can Do This!

Last week at the 16th annual United States Conference on AIDS (USCA), I had the opportunity to interact with conference participants during two workshops on new media. We worked together to help answer the question posed by President Barack Obama in the Digital Government Strategy: “I want us to ask ourselves every day—how are we using technology to make a real difference in people’s lives?”

One answer to the President’s question came from our colleague, Krishna Stone, from GHMC .

Krishna wasn’t able to attend the conference, so she sent a video called “You Can Do It,” in which she talks about her experiences with learning to use new media. She offers both sage advice about dealing with some of the challenges of adopting new technologies and encouragement for those who might be feeling a little intimidated. Please watch!

Krishna Stone, Assistant Director in GMHC’s Communications Department, shares about her baby steps into the land of social media work.
