The YIN MIND
____________________________________________________________
As a candle burns
the flame illuminates,
tallow flows . . . .
a pool around the wick
gives fuel ascending,
a warm fluid
rising absorbent strands . . . .
hotter, until it rises further
a vapour beyond the bounds of wick strands
its destiny:
a flame’s glow,
lighting all around,
guiding the motions
of those blind
without the lightThe tallow of my person
forms a pool as it flows
around the wick of my soul.
I am fuel ascending
a warm fluid
rising absorbent strands of my soul . . . .
Vaporous person leaves the wick of soul
soars in spirit
its destiny:
a flame’s glow,
lighting all around,
guiding the motions
of those blind
without the lightThose idle,
without motion,
hazard no collision . . . .
They only use the light
to still their fear
not to moveNo force melts me . . .
No force lifts me . . .
No force raises me in spirit
except those who move
because they’ve light to guide their motionI must be a candle
in the hands of movers
to shine at all© 2010, ECOhealth / Eve Revere
