‘Amazing Love’
“Christ died for the ungodly” (Romans 5:6, KJV).
We are powerless to save ourselves and that’s why God sent His Son Jesus to save us by dying on the cross in our place. Why would God do that? Why would He send His Son to sacrifice His precious life for the undeserving?
John 3:16 tells us why. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (KJV).
God acted in love.
He didn’t want to see the world perish in its sins. God didn’t send His Son to condemn us but to save us.
All we have to do is to believe in Jesus.
Our salvation comes at a great cost for God but He did it out of love for us. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, His love for them didn’t change. He gave them animal skins to cover up their nakedness and He provided them the means to atone for their sins. The sacrifice of the sheep pointed to the ultimate sacrifice of His beloved and only begotten Son.
In love God vowed never to destroy the earth with a flood again. The rainbow is the symbol of this promise.
Lord, I lift your name on high. You who are holy and unable to tolerate sin, did not turn Your face away from us but sent Your Lamb to take away our sins. Today, I exalt Your name and will declare Your works, for when we were yet without strength, in due time.”

Missing Girls
In God’s eyes all life is precious and each child is a gift from Him. However, in India baby girls are aborted and abandoned by parents who don’t want them because of the crippling dowry they are expected to pay once these girls get married. It is believed that a million are murdered each year.
Recently, we watched a show called “Missing Girls in India” and were appalled at what we learned. There was a shot of a naked baby girl lying in what looked like a dugout. We thought it was a doll. This poor child was left to die.
Some Ugly TRUTHS: Take Action!
Killing or selectively aborting a child purely for the fact that is a girl, seems like some thing out of our dark history, sadly it is not. Right this very moment a child is probably being killed for no other reason other than they are female, as thousands of infant or unborn girls are killed every week. In India a girl is often seen not as a blessing, but a burden…too expensive, or not as prosperous as boys. This is not a new phenomenon, and it is not limited to the poor, but it must come to an end before there is a serious deficiency of girls. In some parts of India the lack of available girls for brides is already being heavily felt.
Earlier this year UNICEF reported that of 100 million females worldwide who would have been born, 43 million where Indian. The estimation was based on females denied life under extreme circumstances, which includes foeticide. The use of ultrasounds have only increased the gender discrimination of girls, prompting many woman to selectively abort female fetuses (abortion has been legal since 1971). In July this year, dozens of aborted female fetuses were found in a well of a clinic, which was conducting illegal sex selection tests and foeticide/abortions (Harsh reality of India’s unwanted girls).
