It is an honor and privilege to support some of the most selfless people on this planet; some of which in our last few years even lost their lives during duty to the Human Race, through the United Nations.

The UN Foundation, a public charity, was created in 1998 with entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner’s historic $1 billion gift to support UN causes and activities. We are an advocate for the UN and a platform for connecting people, ideas and resources to help the United Nations solve global problems.

In 2010, more than one million people came to the United Nations Foundation’s website and found opportunities to engage and connect with the United Nations and its causes.

As we celebrate last year’s successes — including delivering hundreds of thousands of bed nets to Africa, helping to bring polio to the brink of eradication, and uniting thousands of teens to improve the lives of girls in developing countries — we’re also looking forward to an even better 2011.
