Governor General's Office Announces CANADA to Celebrate with Book of Reflection for End of an Era

Signing of

Book of Reflection at Rideau Hall

 

 

OTTAWA—The Office of the Secretary to the Governor General invites the public to sign the Book of Reflection, on display at Rideau Hall, which pays tribute to all Canadians who served during the  First World War.   Beginning tomorrow, March 30, 2010, the public will be able to sign the Book in the foyer of the residence, every-day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., until April 12, 2010.

 National Commemorative Ceremony

on April 9, 2010

  

The Government of Canada will hold a national commemorative ceremony honouring all of Canada’s First World War Service Men and Women on “Vimy Ridge Day”, Friday, April 9, 2010, at the National War Memorial, in Ottawa.

A number of other significant ceremonies of remembrance will be held the same day

in locations across Canada, as well as in France and in England.
