THE BEAUTIFUL PEACOCK AND THE JEALOUS BIRD

This is the story of Titi, the pride of the jungle, who loses her beautiful feathers after falling into a cleverly laid out trap, devised by a most envious and very Jealous bird.

“…inspiring imagination and the love of literature through the art of story telling”

At the advent of her misfortune, Titi lapses into a mournful and sorrowful existence and the entire jungle is equally thrown into a bout of misery.

Will justice truly be served out for the beloved Peacock or will the guilty culprit succeed in destroying happiness in the entire jungle forever?

The Beautiful Peacock And The Jealous Bird

Excerpt:

“A very long time ago, when all animals could talk and rule their own kingdoms just as they wished, there lived a beautiful peacock with glittering feathers of many colours. She was the joy and pride of the magnificent African jungle which was her home. All the other animals loved her for her elegance and grace, and her feathers were a constant reminder of the richness and splendour that surrounded them in the deep hot jungle.

Every Saturday morning, Titi the beautiful peacock would make her way down to the stream where she would spread her wings proudly in the open air for all to see. Each time, a group of jungle neighbours would march behind her and then gather round to view the spectacular creature. While she performed a dance around the stream, the Elephants would blow their trunks with excitement; the Frogs would croak; the Birds would chirp with all their might; the Monkeys would jump from one tree branch to another, and the rest of the animals would watch in amazement as the peacock showed off her natural charm.

At times it seemed as though the skies would shed tears of joy while watching Titi’s eye catching and witty performance because each dance was always followed by gentle rains which would fall on the jungle, watering all the plants and making them grow so that the animals would have plenty of fresh leaves and grains to eat.

For a while, all seemed to be well in the jungle. No one appeared to notice a little yellow bird who could no longer hold back her jealousy for Titi. This bird was named Mila and during every performance she would hide in between the thick bushes from a distance, watching as the other animals praised and adored their colourful friend.”
