Illinois Women’s Leadership Symposium
selected the winners of the “Woman in Action” Award.
The Woman in Action Award is given to an outstanding woman in the areas of motivation, empowerment and action, with specific criteria being self-motivated, self-empowered and self-activated. She should be a community leader and innovative thinker who is passionate and dedicated to their life, their family, and their career.
A Servant Leader with a clear vision.
The 2010 Woman in Action award recipients are Seattle Sutton, president and founder of Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating, and Darlene Ziebell, president, Center for Women Business Owners.
Seattle and Darlene were presented with the award Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, during the Illinois Women’s Leadership Symposium at Hotel Arista at CityGate Center in Naperville, Ill.

Seattle Sutton, RN, BSN, is founder and president of Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating (SSHE). SSHE, a family-owned, Illinois-based healthy meal replacement company offers a no-gimmick approach to convenient, healthy eating. The meal program is scientifically designed and taste-tested.
Sutton, of Marseilles, Ill., founded the company in 1985 at the age of 53 to help improve people’s eating habits. She has continued her original mission to this day. She did so with only $1,000, three employees and a lot of determination to make her business a success.
