2021 has been a unique year for everyone. Life has returned to some kind of normality, but not all the way, and the pandemic is still a major threat and a fast-changing situation, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. In this unique time, people have been prioritizing their health and wellness, which is fantastic to see this selfcare, and there have been a number of trends to emerge in this time. These trends have helped women (and men) to stay happy and healthy even during this strange time, so keep reading to discover these trends and how they could help.

1. Unplugging

One of the biggest trends to emerge in 2021 has been unplugging. When people spend so much time connected and looking at a screen, it is important to be aware of the various health threats that this poses. Unplugging even for a short while can give your eyes and mind a break, help you to recharge, and be more mindful. It may also help people with sleep, which is hugely important for overall wellbeing.

2. Prioritizing Sleep

Leading on from this, people have also started to prioritize sleep which is great to see. Getting the recommended 7-9 hours of sleep each night can change your life in many ways and improve your physical and mental health. With many people working from home, it gives them more time at home, and using this time to get more sleep should be encouraged because it can make such a big difference.

3. Yoga

Yoga has been perhaps the biggest health trend during COVID-19. People of all ages have been turning to yoga because it is a form of exercise that can easily be done from home, plus it is some-thing known to have both mental and physical health benefits. 4. Vegan Diet

Many people have also been making major life changes, including becoming vegan. The climate crisis is one major reason why this has become such a big trend, but it is also a great way to im-prove your overall health and wellbeing. For those that want to reduce their impact and be health-ier, becoming a vegetarian or even reducing meat consumption can be helpful.

5. Self-Care & Talking About Mental Health

People are now realizing the importance of self-care and making it an important part of their life-style. The pandemic has caused people a great deal of stress and anxiety, so taking mental health seriously and prioritizing it has been important during this time. In addition to this, people are also talking more openly about their mental health and supporting one another, which is fantastic to see and will hopefully continue once the pandemic is over.
