On behalf of Dress for Success we wanted to share an exciting new program that will help low-income women across the country achieve economic independence.
Dress for Success, a non-profit organization is activating their first-ever Success…is in the Bag program and needs your help. Then initiative encourages Canadian women to donate a new or gently used high-end luxury handbag (value $1,000) that will be auctioned off with all proceeds going towards helping disadvantaged women in communities across the country. The program will lead up to International Women’s Day on March 8, 2017 with the online auction beginning May 2017.
The Success…is in the Bag program is a great way to give back your community and make a difference in a woman’s life.

Handbag Donation Period: January 30-March 30, 2017

How the donation process works:
Interested donation participates can contact [email protected] to let them know they would like to donate a handbag and arrange a pick up.
The handbag will receive a professional market value appraisal. For handbags valued at $1,000 or more a charitable tax receipt will be issued to the donor *
The donated designer handbag will be included in a lovethatbag.ca sale to support Dress for Success across Canada (May 2017).
According to CRA guidelines the assessed value needs to be at least $1,000 to be eligible for a charitable tax receipt

Lovethatbag.ca: A pre-eminent Canadian online handbag consignment platform will provide professional appraisal, online platform, photography, storage and fulfillment. Once a woman has confirmed interest in donating her bag, Dress for Success will arrange for shipping to Love that Bag (located in Montreal) for appraisal, storage and photography.
