Thank You for Helping NORD Drive Progress for All Who Live With Rare Diseases! 2013 marked our 30th Anniversary and brought many exciting milestones. With the help of our members, supporters and advocacy partners, NORD accomplished many objectives this year, including: Launched a web-based state insurance resource to provide state-specific information for patients and their families Connected hundreds of patients and caregivers with medical experts, researchers and advocates at disease-specific educational meetings Led our members in advocacy on important issues such as preserving the Orphan Drug Tax Credit Published web-based disease guides read by physicians in more than 130 countries Participated as a member of the USP Therapeutic Information and Formulary Support Expert Committee, to assure representation of the community Administered nearly 50 patient assistance programs and established a new one to help patients applying to the NIH Undiagnosed Diseases Program Highlighted the needs of the community in media outreach such as a Wall Street Journal op/ed piece Led the national observance of Rare Disease Day and obtained a letter of support from President Obama Together We’ll Be Strong in 2014! 2014 promises to be a busy year for our community with a robust pipeline of treatments in various stages of development and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.  NORD needs your help to continue to lead the charge and provide strong representation for the rare disease community.  Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today.
