The World Convenes in Support of the UN
As people around the world gathered in New York for UN General Assembly week in late September, the UN Foundation helped connect them with ways to support the UN on some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Your voice was an important part of this global conversation.
From maintaining momentum toward the Millennium Development Goals [pdf – Progress Chart] to focusing attention on the health of women and children through Every Woman Every Child, the UN Foundation invited everyone to take part in the global discussion about how to help the UN create a better world.
Global issues took center stage at the Social Good Summit as governments, business leaders, and innovators joined forces to talk about what the world can look like in 2030. The conversation around the theme #2030Now and post-2015 development agenda sparked continued dialogue about priorities in the fight against poverty.
