“From our first day in office through to today, Senator LeBreton has contributed her wise counsel, exceptional work ethic, and unrivalled institutional knowledge, and in so doing has made a tremendous contribution to our Government.

“I know that Senator LeBreton will continue to make an active contribution to our Government’s work, particularly in the area of Senate reform.

“Over the course of the Summer I will be consulting with members of the Senate caucus before appointing a new Government Leader in the Senate prior to the resumption of Parliament in the Fall.
