The reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act is something to celebrate, in no small part because it includes language that makes ending child marriage in developing countries a U.S. foreign policy priority. (In fact, we’re still celebrating here at Girl Up!)
Now it’s time for all of us to thank America’s lawmakers for taking a stand for girls and women everywhere. People across the country including our Teen Advisors are saying “Thanks!”
Take Action and thank your members of Congress for their help passing this bill. Because of them, girls around the world have a better chance at a healthy and safe future that is full of possibilities.
