Thumbs Up for Literacy!
In an age of “reading and texting”.
Three talented, diverse Canadian authors come together to support the Oakville Literacy Council and their Annual Book Sale fundraiser, inviting the public to chat with the authors at a book signing on Wednesday to Saturday, May 23 – 26, at Third Line and Rebecca, Oakville.
Dawn-Angela Seeley, Oakville artist, instructor & tour facilitator, will be signing her beautifully written and illustrated self-tour guide, An Adventure in Tuscany at the Oakville Literacy Council’s Book Sale. The guide describes the lovely ancient medieval village of Anghiari in Tuscany, which is the base for 16 day trips & excursions to surrounding medieval cities (Florence, Sienna, Assissi) and off-the-beaten-track villages that few tourists know of. The guide is illustrated with a pull-out print of one of her paintings in each chapter and also includes a free CD of The Legend of Beppino, The Friendly Tuscan Wolf, which appeals to children, young and old. www.tuscanyculturalholidays.com or call 905.849.7966.
