Have you ever wondered

• what gave me the courage to start a Global Telesummit on Revolutionizing the Paradigm of Public Education, while still teaching in a prestigious but conservative public school in an insignificant town in Germany – where most of my fellow teachers are unaware of what I am doing, because they are unwilling to understand….?

• What gave me the courage to take out all of my savings in order to learn how to build a website, how to organize a Telesummit, while at the same time regularly falling back into my fears of not being good enough, of not being eloquent enough in English (an acquired language I hadn’t practiced for a decade) , of never having done an interview in my life and of always having been degraded by my German language teachers for an unimaginative writing style?

Why would anyone in her right mind start the first business venture of her life in her sixties with no support system in an unknown market and with no connections whatsoever to those she wished to attract?? Because it took me nearly six decades to realize what my contribution and my purpose in this life might be. And it took me nearly as long to realize that most of my struggles were a direct result of my believing in the way I had been educated – were I felt it had always been better to fit in than stand out ….

In addition the Internet provides us with incredible opportunities to learn and to access the wisdom of others. Basically everything I wanted to know and needed to know and didn’t know that I would need to know it – almost all the information, exercises, meditations and transformation that have gotten me to this point, I have found on the Internet and learnt from telesummits.

How do you attract high profile speakers with absolutely no profile of your own? It was laughably easy! I was (and am) so outraged by what a heartless, mindless and completely outdated school system does to sensitive, intelligent and vulnerable children that this sentiment radiated from every line in my speaker request letters. And some of the most amazing personalities, the ones I had anonymously admired on previous telesummits so much resonated with the message – they surprised me with an open mind and a willingness to speak on my very first summit, for which I hadn’t even managed to set up a website at that point.

It aired last summer and right now I’m in the middle of my second summit and I’m humbled and amazed at what one courageous step can set into motion.

1. From many emails I received I know that the information provided has taken many parents out of fear and desperation. Why? Because they start to understand that it’s not their child that is broken and needs fixing, but rather there are some unchallenged fundamental assumptions behind education and traditional schools that are outdated and need fixing.
2. Through the miracles of the Internet I am now connected to other visionaries and together we are on the way to find enough funding to not only spread the message through other media, but also to come up with a mastermind group to reinvent public education.

I have a dream:

If we transform the paradigm of education and start honoring cooperation more than competition and truly start respecting each other, then our whole world could be healed in one generation.
