Did you know that February is officially “Heart Month” in Canada? That’s it’s not just referring to the chocolate ones. Heart Month was started in 1958 by cardiologists of the Heart and Stoke Foundation Ontario to promote heart health and awareness. Now is the perfect time to promote heart health for you and your community: Join people across Ontario in asking our government to make health a priority in this year’s budget! »
Right now well over one million Canadians are living with the effects of heart disease and stroke, and over 15,000 people die from heart attacks and strokes each year. Heart disease and stroke are preventable, and with better preventative health care, we can lower these numbers and save lives. The month of February is coming to a close, but there is still time to do your part advocating for better heart health!
In honor of Heart Month, sign the petition now to tell Premier McGuinty and Minister of Finance Duncan that Ontario deserves healthier hearts! »
