October 24, 2011 marks the 66th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
66TH ANNIVERSARY EVENTS OF THE UN
For the first time in the history of the United Nations Association of the National Capitol Area, we are proud to say we have extended our usual UN Week to UN Month 2011. This year marks the 66th anniversary of the United Nations. We have over 15 planned events spread over the 31 days of October. From happy hours to career dinners to discussions on women, international voting, Libya and the right to protect – this year’s UN Month has it all! We have partnered with some great organizations like the World Federation Movement, the United States Institute of Peace, George Washington University, and more.
