The people in my apartment building?
Someone living on my street?

Or is Mirsaid – a 9-year-old boy from Afghanistan, my neighbour?
Is Anita– a beautiful and bright girl from India, my neighbour?
Or Marlene and her grandchildren, living in central Africa… are they my neighbours?
Jesus answers the question of “Who is my neighbour?” by using the story of a man who shows overwhelming kindness to a stranger who’s been robbed, beaten and left for dead.Our neighbour is anyone who needs Jesus’ love…At cbm Canada we envision a world where people living with or affected by disability are valued as Jesus values them, accepted as equals, and able to achieve their God-given potential.
That includes people like Mirsaid, Anita and Marlene. People living on less than a dollar a day who are blind because of cataracts.If you want to follow in Jesus’ footsteps – by showing love to your neighbour in a significant, life-changing way, why not restore the sight of someone like Marlene, Anita or Mirsaid?
A 12-minute cataract surgery gives someone sight literally overnight. A breadwinner or caregiver who hasn’t seen for years can see again!We’ve partnered with 6 eye hospitals in 5 different countries – from Afghanistan to Uganda.
Between now and December 31, these 6 hospitals are expecting 8,250 people like Marlene to come through their doors – all in need of cataract surgery.Show love to your neighbour by restoring his or her sight. Give someone sight now! May God bless you always, as you have blessed so many others.
