Earlier this year, I visited the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, where I met a mother who fled South Sudan with her four children amid the country’s ongoing violence. Sadly, her story is not unique. More than 1 million people in South Sudan have been displaced, and while some have fled to other nations, most of them remain in the country.

In the midst of this brutal conflict, United Nations peacekeepers are on the ground, working to protect vulnerable civilians. As this International Day of UN Peacekeepers unfolds, my thoughts and gratitude are with them.

Join me in thanking UN peacekeepers.

Right now, 118,000 brave men and women in uniform from 122 countries are risking their lives to restore peace in some of the most volatile places in the world so families like the one I met at the Kakuma refugee camp don’t have to flee.

Peacekeepers are international heroes.

Join our sister organization, the Better World Campaign, in thanking them for their service.

The men and women who wear blue helmets put their lives on the line for peace let’s stand with them and say thank you.

Thanks for your support,
