Black History Month, also known as African-American History Month, is an annual observance in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom for remembrance of important people and events in the history of the African American diaspora. “Books That Shaped America” The Library of Congress –the world’s largest repository of knowledge and information–is beginning its multiyear “Celebration of the Book” with an exhibition, “Books That Shaped America,” opening June 25.
