The Valor of a Woman { Eshet Chayil } – Sherrie Rose

The INNER ESSENCE of a WOMAN will always, like Cinderella, not be a victimized scullery girl; but a woman, even if placed in an awful situation, is able to make the best of it.         THE POEM - A Woman of Valor The poem that begins with the idea that a woman is more precious than pearls or rubies is in the Proverbs. There are different translations and below are two translations from two websites which are listed at the end under references. The second … [Read more...]

POETRY: A Noble Life, Shirlee Hall

A NOBLE LIFE       I know from my own journey that anything is possible and that the sublime is waiting to bless us in ways far beyond our imagination.   I believe in our inherent goodness. It is up to us to accept the goodness and be free of restrictions. Many of the events in the visible world are outrageous, yet there is also beauty and hope.   To understand that the old must be removed before the new can be fully experienced is wisdom. It is being … [Read more...]

Earth Mother Crying, Terra

Earth Mother Crying   When I did this painting, I coated the masonite with gesso. Where ever I poured the gesso, it raised the masonite to make this wild configuration under the painting. It wasn't suppose to do that. I debated as to get a new piece of masonite and try again. I thought this strange. But since this was the piece designated for the painting, I thought I should continue with it. I thought surely it has some significant meaning and I would eventually become … [Read more...]

POETRY – Life is a Mystery @ Manon Fortier

Life is a Mystery So tired of the constant strive to achieve your very best. The thought of perfection, complete happiness. Emotionally exhausted to think of tomorrow, about what will happen next. Why not live for the moment. Live for today. For it may be your last. Looking around at all others in this diverse society. Different personalities, attitudes, beliefs. Wanting to fit in, yet be your own person. Wanting to be open yet so secrete. Less drama, arguments, judgmental … [Read more...]

… to BE a Friend is to HAVE a Friend!

... to BE a Friend is to HAVE a Friend!     I Have a Friend, so Patient, Kind, Forbearing I have a friend, so patient, kind, forbearing, Of all my friends this friend doth love me best; Though I am weak and sinful, yet when sharing His love and mercy I am ever blest. He is my Lord, my friend, yea, He’s my brother; And Jesus Christ is His most blessèd name. He loves more tenderly than any mother; To rest in Him is more than wealth and fame.My poor and wretched soul He bought so … [Read more...]

ISHITA MEHTA – Storyteller: ‘Let love, be love’

Let love, be love Sail the night in the boat of your eyes... Wear the ochre of the sunset, and flee. Strap the river onto the feet, And rush down to the sea. Like said, “Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May” Unleash yourself seize the day Can you feel it in your soul? Then take control With the wings of winds Fly the sky Be yourself like never before Let it burn, don’t pursue the cure It's just a sensation, with your soul caress it Let love be love, … [Read more...]

Silence

Silence           "Every silence must be carried through towards death so that it is immortal   And every smile and tear and glance must be detached from what is fragile and finite   Even an oak leaf cannot for ever be happy on a branch even a dove is not for ever on a window sill   What flies away will come back what stays will sing   Silence is the memento after everything faithful as it were not silence after love."             This short poem by Polish … [Read more...]

The Four Agreements ~ Miguel Ruiz

THE FOUR AGREEMENTS 1. Be Impeccable With Your Word Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love. 2. Don't Take Anything Personally Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless … [Read more...]

Shirlee Hall, ‘What is PURITY?’

'What is PURITY?' PURITY is a state of being; it requires eons of time to consciously awaken in the thinking mind. It is the key to perfection in matter. PURITY is compassionate understanding and is aware that each soul struggles for conscious realization in form. PURITY is cleanliness of thought. It does not soil itself with negativity that separates; darkness dissipates or obstructs the energy of the soul. PURITY is kindness and selflessness toward all life; the desire to willingly … [Read more...]

“My Female Parts have Calcified” ~ Colin Winchester

"My Female Parts have Calcified"   Appendix testes they’re called, the remnants of fetal Müllerian ducts, which in a female would develop into fallopian tubes and uterus. One is now a hard little ball bearing sitting near the top of my left testicle. It must be the way I have been living. Why else would it calcify? I’m sure it’s from lack of use, from frustration at being ignored, from my female parts feeling useless or just plain rejected. I force my masculine … [Read more...]
