Women That Have Changed The Face of Gambling

You can do your research and you will discover that the online gambling industry considered its main target audience to be males between the ages of 20 and 45. While this might be the case, if you do another simple search of the casino industry, you’ll find that the first three pages are about female gamblers addicted to the game. Women and get just as addicted to men can. Women enjoy the game just as much as men and women have made just as many changes in the industry as men. Take a look at some of the most prominent women in gambling and what they have down to and for the industry.

Shannon Elizabeth Fadal

Shannon might not be a world-famous poker player, but she is a well-known actress, producer, and fashion model that picked poker as a second career. Not only did she choose it as a career, but she has succeeded at it. She has achieved considerable success in a world that is mostly dominated by men. You probably remember her from that little American Pie movie. Well, she also went on to play Jay and Silent Bob as well as 20 other big-budget Hollywood flick. She even co-produced some films. However, it is none of these things that she is as proud of as her gambling career. She has already earned an impressive bankroll of $235,866, according to PokerNews, and she will probably only make more as time passes.

Patricia Becker

Just because you have been playing baccarat online with quality casinos it doesn’t mean that you’ve heard of Patricia Becker. That’s okay because most people don’t know her like they know Shannon, but that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t done great things for the casino industry. You’ll know who she is after reading this. She is one of the first ladies to hold the distinct privilege of serving on the Nevada Gaming Control Board. She is the only woman to ever hold the seat and she’s held it for 20 years. It was 20 years ago since Governor Richard Bryan elevated her from chief deputy general into the gaming commission. She is just one of the three members who are tasked with regulating Nevada’s casino industry. It might not sound like a lot, but this is a pretty big task given just how big the gambling scene is in Nevada.

Alice Ivers Duffield Tubbs Huckert

Alice has quite a mouthful for a name and that is why most people just refer to her as Poker Alice. She is a three-time widower and also a professional gambler, bootlegger, and brothel owner. In fact, there was a time when she did all three at once. This would be a pretty impressive resume, even for a man. She was born in 1851 and went on to later become one of the most famous figures of the American frontier. She earned so much as poker that she would take her earnings and spend them on lavish trips to New York so that she could keep up with the latest fashion trends of the world. She was known far and wide throughout the community and is still talked about today.
