Neale Donald Walsch – What if You could live as You Want?

Neale Donald Walsch – What if …?

  • What would it be like if you could live your life exactly the way you’ve always envisioned it?
  • What if you could fulfill all the yearnings of your soul?

These are the kind of questions Neale Donald Walsch has been asking over 1,000 people from 50 countries around the world who are participating in his Conversations with God online course that began a few weeks ago.

It’s been a transformative journey so far. With each weekly course session, students are sharing breakthroughs and realizations they’ve been having that are helping them overcome the patterns that have caused a great deal of suffering in their lives. They are realizing the power they have to co-create their life and feel happiness and peace of mind, no matter what.

We’ve been so inspired, I wanted to share some of the tools and insights from the course with you.

The journey began when Neale led the course participants through the first step in living life as an expression of the Divine–an exploration of deep truth about yourself and everything you desire.

Often, people walk through life with a vague knowing that something is not quite right, that something is not what it’s supposed to be. The difficulty is that until a person identifies what is missing, they cannot fulfill the earnest request of the soul.

It isn’t difficult to imagine what we want out of life. Many of us do this each and every day. We dream of a time in the future when we will feel happier. We may tell ourselves that our lives would be so much better if only we had more time, more money, more love, or more recognition. Perhaps in thinking these thoughts, we suffer by dwelling on everything that’s not yet in our grasp. We don’t understand why life hasn’t turned out quite like we had hoped.

But, as God told Neale: You may not have what you want.

How can that be? Why would God give us the ability to imagine a glorious life for ourselves but tell us that we can’t have what we want?

What does it mean that we can’t have what we WANT?

Neale explained that the very act of “wanting” creates an energy of “lacking” and of “not having.” Life is nothing more than a mirror reflecting your state of mind and the words you use, the ideas you hold, the actions that you place into the world. It mirrors back to you what is true for you and what emerges from you.

So when you say you “want” something, you are announcing that you do not now have it, and that thought is creative. It produces and reproduces that precise reality in your experience.

Therefore, the act of wanting only produces more wanting.

AN EXERCISE TO TURN “WANTING” INTO ABUNDANCE

===========================================

One of the valuable tools that Neale offered during the first two Sessions was a way to turn the energy of “wanting” and “lacking” into the reality of ABUNDANCE and co-creation.

I’d like to share a little bit of this process with you now, because it’s so powerful.

If you’re ready to go through this process now, take a little time to do the following exercise. You’ll need a piece of paper and something to write with.

First, think of one area of your life that you’re most dissatisfied with or wanting to improve right now. It can be relationships or marriage, your career, finances, health, or any other category that is occupying your attention recently.

Write down the area you want to focus on at the top of the page, then below that, write down three phrases, with adequate space after each one to allow for your reflections:

1. Last Year–

2. Now–

3. Next Year–

Now it’s time to start writing. When considering that aspect of your life that is most important to you right now, what was true for you LAST YEAR?

Write your answer next to “1. Last year.”

Do the same for #2 and #3. What is true for you about this aspect NOW? What is your truth about how you want things to be A YEAR from now?

Take your time to ponder and write down your answer to this last question especially. You are examining what it is that you want in regards to this important aspect of your life.

And now comes the part where you have the opportunity to experience that you already have everything you want…

Look at what you’ve written after “Next Year” and consider what it is that you want out of life with regard to this one aspect. Let’s say you wrote, “I want to have a job that pays better and is more in alignment with my purpose.”

4. Turn the statement around to one of having.

This is an example of how to do it:

“I’m already in the process of getting a better paying job that’s more in alignment with my purpose (or insert here your specific desire)… Thank you, God, for causing me to notice that everything about this particular aspect of my life is coming to me now, and that everything that I’m experiencing is perfect and exactly as I’m supposed to experience it.”

And then watch as your idea of perfection crystallizes in the mind of God, and the universe races to produce for you what your awareness allows you to see. Your problem has already been solved for you, and the only thing that stands between you experiencing the solution and simply knowing it is CERTAINTY.

You are certain that everything is already happening exactly as it’s supposed to happen, and you are already in the process of receiving all that your soul desires.

Neale went on to explain that you and God are one, and that God wants what you want, because you are what God is. Therefore, you have the ability to co-create any reality and have that which your soul desires.

In later sessions, Neale shows course participants exactly how it is that we create our own reality, so we can choose what kind of experience to have no matter if it’s something we formerly perceived as “difficult” or “bad.” This frees us from suffering over the events in our life and gives us the ability to perceive joy, even in the face of what we may have previously perceived as negative.

All it takes is a simple shift in perception, and a willingness to embrace the notion that what you put out into the world comes back to you, over and over. When you come from an attitude of abundance, you will experience abundance in every aspect of your life.

Some of the students in the course have expressed that the tools Neale has shown them so far have empowered them and made them realize they do indeed have the ability to co-create their life. They’ve been recognizing the ways that they have been “stuck” and unable to previously access happiness, allowing them to do so easier now. There is a lot of excitement and gratitude being expressed about all the ways that the teachings are bringing clarity and joy to their lives.

I can’t wait to see what kind of transformations are possible by realizing the truth of our Divine nature, and utilizing powerful tools such as the one in this e-mail to shift our experience from one of struggle and suffering to one of happiness and abundance.

I will be revealing more “behind the scenes” tools and teachings from Neale’s course in the coming weeks, so watch your inbox.

Warmly,
