INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S HEALTH COALITION – Joins United Nations!

International Women's Health Coalition
IWHC’s annual gala in New York City is fast approaching! Join us on February 8, 2011 to celebrate strong women and healthy communities. This year we will honor Paul Farmer, the co-founder of Partners In Health, and hear from our partner Ishita Chaudrhy from the youth-led YP Foundation in India. Click here to purchase tickets today.

On Wednesday, January 12, IWHC joined the United Nations Foundation, Americans for UNFPA, and Population Action International in hosting a welcoming reception for Dr. Babatunde Osothimehin, the newly-appointed Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund.

One of the most respected members of the medical profession, Dr. Osotimehin has a distinguished track record on behalf of reproductive health and human rights, particularly for women and young people, and we look forward to his continuing leadership.

As an ally for women and girls worldwide, your support has helped to transform policies and change lives. In 2010 alone, IWHC’s partners reached over six million women and young people in Africa, Asia, and Latin America with vital health services and programs that prevent violence against women and HIV. We cannot -and will not- give up this work until we secure a just and healthy life for every woman and girl. We hope you will consider making a gift to IWHC today. Your gift makes a difference.
